The 2nd Kids Corner Music Festival comes to Delaware

WXPN, the nationally-recognized leader in Triple A (Adult Album Alternative) music and home of the Peabody award-winning Kids Corner radio show, today announced that it will host its second Kids Corner Music Festival on Saturday, November 19 at World Cafe Live at The Queen in Wilmington, Del.

The Kids Corner Music Festival will feature an afternoon of music, crafts and fun for the whole family. Attendees will enjoy performances by the newest sounds on Kids Corner, make-and-take crafts, a balloon artist and a family-friendly lunch buffet. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. with live music performances beginning at 11 a.m.

“Our first Kids Corner Music Festival in Philadelphia was such a huge success that we couldn’t wait to host another event for our fans and listeners,” said Kathy O’Connell, Kids Corner host. “The kids’ music world is a big extended family, and we’re excited to showcase some of the newest additions to the musical mix heard nightly on Kids Corner.”

The artist lineup is as follows:

· The Plants 11 a.m.

· Shine and the Moonbeams 12 p.m.

· Billy Kelly & The Blah Blah Blahs 1 p.m.

Created in 1988, Kids Corner’s primary mission is to provide a stimulating variety of educational and entertaining programs for children ages 6-13. Kids Corner is WXPN’s live, interactive radio show for children that has earned over 23 broadcasting awards. The program also serves as a resource for parents, educators and professionals in child-related fields. Kids Corner airs weeknights at 7 p.m. on WXPN.
