Minus The Bear Announces U.S. Tour and Album Pre-Sale

Minus the Bear have announced they will embark on an coast-to-coast tour of the U.S. this fall, in support of their highly anticipated studio album, Infinity Overhead, due August 28 on Dangerbird Records. The extensive 45-date tour will kick off on September 10 in Boise, hit NYC on September 29, Los Angeles on November 9 and culminate with a hometown finale on November 17 in Seattle. The band will also play Riot Fest in Chicago and Austin’s Fun Fun Fun Fest along the way. Veteran rockers Cursive will be main support for the entire tour with instrumental post-rock band Caspian opening the first leg and female-fronted indie rockers Girl In A Coma taking over duties for the second leg. All shows are on sale now and fans who purchase a ticket through the band’s site MinusTheBear.com will be sent a free download of a four-song tour EP highlighting all the artists on the tour. The EP features Minus the Bear’s new track, “Lonely Gun,” which RollingStone.com exclaimed “packs a punch with charging, acrobatic-sounding guitars woven through a pop-friendly chorus,” when they premiered it last month.

Minus the Bear’s fifth full-length, Infinity Overhead, produced by longtime producer and founding member Matt Bayles, is now available for pre-order. Fans who purchase the album in advance at MinusTheBear.com will receive a free instant download of album track “Diamond Lightning,” the song featured in the album teaser and in-studio videos. The band is offering a variety of pre-sale packages ranging from the deluxe to a simple digital download. The “Ultimate Book,” which is limited to 1,000 copies, will include a 16-page hardcover book containing 180-gram black vinyl, CD, turntable slipmat, an autographed lithograph as well as an exclusive t-shirt, 24-bit lossless vinyl rip and a digital download of the album (Apple Lossless, FLAC or 320k MP3 format). 10 lucky fans will each receive the one-of-a-kind handwritten lyric pages to each of the 10 songs on the record autographed by singer/guitarist Jake Snider. The “Vinyl & T-shirt” package will include 180-gram clear vinyl, exclusive t-shirt of fan’s choice, turntable slipmat and a 320k MP3 digital download.
