Simon Pegg stars in #THEWORLDSEND out 10/25

Simon Pegg as Gary King in The World's End. Yes, yes I know it takes the right person to enjoy Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz, but I am that person, ok? So to know this coming Fall there will be another movie out directed by Edgar Wright is very exciting. It was also written by Edgar Wright and co-written by Simon Pegg which makes it all the more awesome! Why? Because Simon Pegg is the epitome of geekness and he is proud of that fact. Who else stars in the movie OF COURSE NICK FROST! They are a duo, they must be together on screen.

So the movie is “The World End” and it starts out 20 years after a “night out” bar hopping with friends. The five friends get back together one night and recreate the binge.

Synopsis: The third installment of director Edgar Wright’s trilogy of comedies starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, following the successes “Shaun of the Dead” (2004) and “Hot Fuzz” (2007). In “The World’s End,” 20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hellbent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by Gary King (Simon Pegg), a 40-year-old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub – The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.

I am very excited. I think this third installment is sure to be just as impressive as past movies. You have great actors, writers and a fantastic director working together again. Lucky #3 if you ask me!

THE WORLD’S END opens in theaters everywhere October 25th! (If you are in the UK it opens on August 14th LUCKY!)

  1. Hahaha, Mom, I thank you so much for commenting. You are so faithful to me! But I am very sure this is not a movie you would be interested in watching. :)
