First off, this is where you need to be on June 21 through June 23. You need to be in Dover, DE for the 2nd Firefly Music Festival to grace the small wonder. (Specific location: Dover, Delaware at The Woodlands of Dover International Speedway.)
Why do you need to be there?
Should I back up, are there possibly people reading this who do not know about the Firefly Music Festival? Well, it is the East Coast’s premier music experience. It’s held in Dover, DE because the idea is for the festival to be central to cities like Baltimore and Philadelphia…Dover is in the middle and it really is an amazing space, 87 acres of green!
Because of the AMAZING lineup of over 70 artists!
The Red Hot Chili Peppers!
Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers!
Foster the People!
Yeah Yeah Yeahs!
Spinto Band (go Delaware!)
Matt & Kim!
Really do I need to keep listing them, aren’t you freaking out right now anyway!?
Holy musicgasm Batman!
Can you believe this lineup!?
Look for the ticket servers to crash around noon on February 21 because that is when tickets go on sale!
There will be crazy expensive tent passes all the way to regular general admission passes. The general admission passes are still very expensive but figuring the lineup and the fact that they are three-day passes so then it makes sense for them to be $198/ticket for early birds. If you are a late bird you pay $218/ticket.
Just to explain a bit further, their website says, “A general admission pass is an official wristband valid for festival entry on all three days of Firefly. With a general admission festival pass, you’ll have access to all shows.”
Yes, yes I know it is a steep price but figure this… you pay $100+ per ticket to go to a stadium and see one or two artists play for 2 hours. This experience is THREE DAYS with 70+ artists! So you see how the price really IS a good deal.
You want a one-day pass? Well, there might not be any, it depends on availability which I think will be slim to none on the starting day of the festival. But the website says single day tickets MIGHT be available on the day of the show. If you really want to go then I simply would NOT risk such a small bet.
