Make yourself a diva worthy bra for Breast Cancer Awareness

So there is a lot that happens in October to support Breast Cancer Awareness but one of the most fun things I have seen so far has been for this Glamourta event at which you design a keepsake bra for the occasion. The event I found out about is one happening in Atlanta, Georgia this weekend but it’s something you could easily do at home with a group of your best girlfriends, too and I think it would really fun.

hatitutdelogoThe organization in Atlanta who is promoting the event is Hat-titude. Jerika Head came up with the idea for Hat-titude after watching her Mom struggle with cancer.

“There is so much I did not know about cancer when it tragically hit my family,” testifies Jerika, “My hope is to change the lives of those around me through education and ultimately heal, encourage and prevent the negative impact of this disease.”

For those of you in Atlanta who would be able to attend this super fun event, here is the information.

Hat-titude Support Atlanta, Inc. is an Atlanta-based non-profit dedicated to cancer awareness and education. To celebrate breast cancer awareness month, the organization is producing “Glamourta’s,” a ladies night out fundraiser, hosted by legendary R&B singer Tweet, dedicated to raising breast cancer awareness where all monetary donations to the American Cancer Society.

Women of all ages will decorate and accessorize their personal bras by visiting several themed styling stations. Participants will design with loose jewels, rhinestones, lace, bows, glitter and lace hung on a satin hanger to create their own keepsake in support all while mingling and uplifting for a cause. Glamourta will include passed hordevors, a best bra contest, cocktails raffles and giveaways.
