I opened my browser to see cupcakes and streamers as the Google logo. Curious, I hovered over the logo to see why Google was celebrating, because I too am celebrating today.
Turns out Google is celebrating for the same reason! They know it is my birthday! Haha. Scary, but cool.
Thank you Google for your creepy-ness.
And yes, I turn 30 years old today. Hooray! I’m looking forward to my 30s. I think they will be better than my 20s.
Thank you to all my family and friends for their wishes and thoughts! Happy day to everyone!
Did you know Theodor Seuss Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss, would have been 107 years old today? He would have been so cool to talk to, don’t you think? And like a good man should, he thanked his Mom for his awesomeness. His mother, Henrietta Seuss Geisel, often soothed her children to sleep by “chanting” rhymes remembered from her youth. Ted credited his mother with both his ability and desire to create the rhymes for which he became so well known. :)
Did you know Dr. Seuss’ works accumulated two Academy Awards, two Emmys, a Peabody and a Pulitzer? The man rocked in so many ways, but in the way he was the best was in touching the hearts of so many people around the world with his imagination.
In honor of this great man here is are some trading cards you can download and print out, you should your card stock if you have any available:

At the time of his death on September 24, 1991, Ted had written and illustrated 44 children’s books, including four of the 10 best-selling children’s books of all time, including “The Cat in the Hat;” “Green Eggs and Ham;” “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish;” and “Hop on Pop.”
Happy birthday to the Whole Foods Market chain!
Here are some things you may not know about Whole Foods Market (WFM).
There are “Whole Foods Market Culinary Centers” all over the nation. Launched in 2006, The Lamar Culinary Center and Catering, located behind the Landmark Lamar Store in Austin, was the first cooking school to be developed for Whole Foods Market.
Whole Planet Foundation™ team member donations (via elective payroll deductions) hits more than $1.3 million, empowering more than 7,300 impoverished entrepreneurs to lift themselves out of poverty.
I am a cheese lover, both in the corny humor sense AND the must eat all cheese sense. So here is a fun factoid about the WFM and their cheesy goodness. Their cheese selection has become one of the best in the world, with more than 1,600 varieties – a big cheese change from 30 years ago when they sold only 17 varieties.
Also, if you are looking for delicious AND budget friendly recipes they offer them all the time, like their Chocolate Chip Zucchini Cupcakes!
Enjoy and happy birthday to WFM!
