Johnny Depp with a curly mustache, yes please

You know if Johnny Depp is in the movie I will watch it. Because. He’s Johnny Depp.

So, I saw Mortdecai come through my inbox and I thought, what the heck is that!? Then I opened it and read through to see it’s a new comedy movie coming from Lionsgate.

The premise is that Charlie Mortdecai (Johnny Depp) is faced with a mysteriously missing piece of art, he’s forced to set out on an international adventure to uncover the stolen item that may hold the code to unlimited wealth. Will his outstanding charm and good looks be enough to complete this mission?

The film stars Johnny Depp, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ewan McGregor, Olivia Munn, with Jeff Goldblum, and Paul Bettany.

MORTDECAI opens nationwide FEBRUARY 6, 2015!

Oz The Great and Powerful exciting printables & fun

Disney_OZ_The_Great_And_Powerful_1024x768It has been several months since my family and I saw the first preview for the upcoming movie starring James Franco, Oz The Great and Powerful. If you know me, or really anyone in my immediate family than you know we all adore sci-fi and fantasy. This movie is a MUST see and I’d really like to get us all to the theater. I think, even though Amelia is only 4 months old, she would be fine as long as I have ear muffs for her because she is really well behaved. My gut says she’d sleep through part of it and be glued to the screen for the other part.

It’s not that I am of the generation that grew up with the original Wizard of Oz because I’m not. But the movie is a classic. All generations know of it and most people have watched it at least once. There is a scene when Dorothy sees her Auntie Em and then the Wicked Witch’s face in the looking glass and it still freaks me out to this day.

James Franco stars along side Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams and the Flying Monkey who you will recognize has Zach Braff‘s voice. The film is meant to be a prequel of the original Wizard of Oz and shares the story of how the great wizard came to be.

In honor of this visually stunning flick I have put together some printables for you and yours.

Jim Carrey Calls Anyone Who Bullies ‘No Friend Of Mine’

I LOVE YOU PHILLIP MORRIS is the improbable but true story of a spectacularly charismatic conman’s journey from small-town businessman to flamboyant white-collar criminal, who repeatedly finds himself in trouble with the law and on the lam, brilliantly escaping from the Texas prison system on four separate occasions – all in the name of love.

The conman/businessman of this movie is none other then Jim Carrey. The 48-year-old funnyman stars in the long-delayed “I Love You Phillip Morris” – the true story of a man who comes out of the closet and finds his soul mate while in prison – and spoke eloquently about the importance of accepting and celebrating our differences during a recent chat with MTV News.

“This is a horrible thing to be bullied, and to feel like an outcast is a terrible thing,” Carrey told us. “It’s just so an old thing, an old antiquated way of thinking that you can’t have anymore. It doesn’t belong in the new paradigm.

“Every time you look at somebody and think, ‘I don’t like that about that person,’ you just got to know that’s about you,” he added. “Anybody who bullies anybody for any reason is no friend of mine. Frankly, I can’t imagine hitting a human being for any reason except self-preservation, if I was attacked. Your sensibilities are different when you’re a school kid and there’s gang mentality, but it ain’t cool.”

Carrey confessed he often felt like an outsider while growing up, but found “little tricks” to make himself popular. Now an A-list actor working in Hollywood, he’s found himself collaborating with movie industry insiders, some of whom are gays and lesbians – a situation that many bullying teens will also experience in the future. For that reason, at the very least, Carrey said teens would be wise to treat everyone with respect, regardless of any perceived differences.

“Some of the most valuable people in my life are gay,” he said. “People that bring magical, amazing gifts and contributions to my life. I would say to kids out there when they’re engaging in these kinds of isolations of people, someday you’re going to want those people in your life. You’re going to need those people in your life, and you’re not going to want that on your conscience.”

“I Love You Phillip Morris” is due to hit theaters on December 3.
