Farm Aid announced an expanded lineup today that crosses genres for its 25th anniversary music and food festival on Saturday, October 2, at Miller Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Kenny Chesney, Norah Jones, Jason Mraz, Jeff Tweedy, Band of Horses, The BoDeans, Amos Lee and Robert Francis will join Farm Aid board members Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews at Farm Aid 25: Growing Hope for America. Farm Aid 25 will be an all-day festival and celebration of music, family farmers and good food and will again feature HOMEGROWN concessions-family farm-identified, local and organic foods. Farm Aid’s HOMEGROWN Village will showcase hands-on activities that give concertgoers a chance to meet farmers, get their hands dirty and learn how family farmers are protecting our land and water and connecting us to our roots.
“We all see what’s happening with agriculture, what’s happening to our small towns. They are going out of business. That’s a direct result of the farm problem. We’re still doing Farm Aid because it is contributing. It’s doing a job.” – John Mellencamp
Tickets for Farm Aid 25: Growing Hope for America will go on sale Saturday, August 14, at 9 a.m. CDT.
