My husband is a huge KISS fan. I’ve been to a concert with him to see them and he has been to like 30 of their concerts. So when we bought the Scooby-Doo tv-episode which included music from KISS complete with KISS cartoon characters taking stage, he was quite amused. My kids just wanted to know what all the makeup was about. Scooby-Doo being Halloween-ish, meant for an easy explanation. The weird band makeup is because they are in “character” but the movie was good. The kids love mysteries. I like the crop circle angle in this episode and we were all curious to see how the fire breathing ghosts panned out. I’ll always prefer the Scooby shows of the 70s though. Although I admit I’m okay with the Scooby Gang hanging around for my kids to enjoy.
BUT NOW there is an entire Scooby-Doo and KISS movie to watch (79 minutes of creepiness)! It was released digitally on July 10, 2015, and was released on DVD and Blu-ray on July 21.

Break Point? Hmm. Not to be confused with Point Break which will be out later this year and shouldn’t have been remade.

Did you hear? Snoopy leaked THE PEANUTS MOVIE trailer…good grief.
We are huge Peanuts fans in my house. In fact just last weekend Braeden was searching for our copy of the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving
and I think we watched it 5 times in one afternoon.
This movie stands to be absolutely adorable and fun. Everyone is familiar with the comics, I hope, and hopefully familiar with some of the short animations which exist. Do you remember the Bon Voyage Charlie Brown one? I remember it fondly. My Aunt Linda let me watch it at her house when I spent the night and it’s something I think I’ll always remember. Spending the night with my Aunt Linda and then watching that movie was definitely a highlight of my summers.
In the new PEANUTS, a 3D, CGI animated comedic adventure, Snoopy, the world’s most lovable beagle – and flying ace! – embarks upon his greatest mission as he and his team take to the skies to pursue their arch-nemesis, while his best pal Charlie Brown begins his own epic quest back home.
THE PEANUTS MOVIE hits theaters everywhere on November 6, 2015!
Don’t ask me why a banking center is letting people know where to buy the top 10 popular Halloween costumes for this year, but they spent time on this and so I should share it, right? The predictions are stating that people will be spending more on costumes this year. My family spends a decent amount each year anyway because we love Halloween. My kids start talking about their costumes for the following year on November 1st while sorting through their candy from the night before.
GOBankingRates investigated which popular online retailers are offering the best deals on this year’s hottest costumes, from Frozen’s Elsa to Game of Thrones’ Jon Snow.
Halloween 2014 will be even more widely celebrated in the U.S. than usual, with the National Retail Federation predicting costume sales this year will hit $2.8 billion, a 55 percent increase in spending since 2006. My guess is this is due to Halloween being on a Friday night this year. That means more families out and about because there is no school the next day. Plus the young adults of our generation will be having more parties because it’s a weekend event this year.

So what will you or your kids be wearing? My oldest wants to be Steve from Minecraft which is pretty easy for me. Then Finn wants to be a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. I’m hoping to get our little girl into a mermaid costume but not necessarily Ariel. I might venture to Etsy for something. We shall see.
You know if Johnny Depp is in the movie I will watch it. Because. He’s Johnny Depp.
So, I saw Mortdecai come through my inbox and I thought, what the heck is that!? Then I opened it and read through to see it’s a new comedy movie coming from Lionsgate.
The premise is that Charlie Mortdecai (Johnny Depp) is faced with a mysteriously missing piece of art, he’s forced to set out on an international adventure to uncover the stolen item that may hold the code to unlimited wealth. Will his outstanding charm and good looks be enough to complete this mission?
The film stars Johnny Depp, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ewan McGregor, Olivia Munn, with Jeff Goldblum, and Paul Bettany.
MORTDECAI opens nationwide FEBRUARY 6, 2015!
So it would be pretty neat to go to an Olive Garden and be able to eat your dinner while watching a movie. They need those touch screen devices where you can pick an flick and watch while you get your grub on, but then they’d need headphones or sound proof booths. I don’t think that’s going to happen and really then it would take away from dinner conversation.
So the real campaign is that Olive Garden is offering deals to RedBox movies.
“Our ‘Dinner and a Movie’ partnership with Redbox enhances the value and convenience of our successful Buy One, Take One promotion,” said Jay Spenchian, Olive Garden’s executive vice president of marketing. “We’re all about creating special moments for our guests, and this ‘Dinner and a Movie’ offer gives our guests the opportunity to enjoy a second Olive Garden experience together – at home with a Redbox movie.”
Redbox promo codes are for a free one-night movie rental and will be delivered via text message. Rentals can be kept for additional nights at Redbox’s everyday low daily price. To learn more about the Buy One, Take One “Dinner and a Movie” offer and find a Redbox kiosk, visit www.GetDinnerandaMovie.com.
So make sure you ask for that doggie bag and when you sit down to reheat your meal, sit down with a movie.

Robin Williams, beloved actor whose comedic routines, many different facades and brilliant humor which has made millions laugh for many, many moons is said to have died this morning at the age of 63.
At this time I do not believe a cause of death has ruled, but the media mills are stating a suicide. I sincerely hope that is not the case.
Either way it is very sad indeed and I know the world has lost a talented, kind man.
Since I have battled severe depression over my lifetime I do know how overwhelming it can be and just how lost it can make someone feel. Even when your life is seemingly perfect and things appear to be going well there is this dark, consuming feeling of disparity and dread that you can’t shake. It makes me so sad to hear that Robin Williams, a man who brought so many laughs to others, might have been in that darkness. So sorry for his family and I pray for their healing.
