Official trailer for Burnt with Bradley Cooper

bradleycooper-burntYes, yes I know Bradley Cooper and his hot model girlfriend Irina Shayk are trending because of their bathing suit escapades, but this post isn’t about orange bikini bottoms.

This is about Philadelphia born Bradley Cooper and his upcoming part as Adam Jones in the comedic movie Burnt.

On behalf of The Weinstein Company, check out the OFFICIAL TRAILER for BURNT – opening in theaters nationwide on October 23, 2015!

Chef Adam Jones (Bradley Cooper) had it all – and lost it. A two-star Michelin rockstar with the bad habits to match, the former enfant terrible of the Paris restaurant scene did everything different every time out, and only ever cared about the thrill of creating explosions of taste. To land his own kitchen and that third elusive Michelin star though, he’ll need the best of the best on his side, including the beautiful Helene (Sienna Miller). BURNT is a remarkably funny and emotional story about the love of food, the love between two people, and the power of second chances.

Release: October 23, 2015
Director: John Wells
Written By: Steven Knight, Michael Kalesniko
Rating: TBD
Starring: Bradley Cooper, Sienna Miller, Omar Sy, Daniel Brühl, Matthew Rhys, Uma Thurman and Emma Thompson

More Heart, Less Attack

548b167c25c1928fa7f90949e0386f1aNEEDTOBREATHE had a really great year, didn’t they? Grammy nominations and international tours are nothing to sneeze at. I remember writing about them back in 2011. I had only just heard about the band then even though they’ve been recording since 2007. So it’s been a long time coming and now the world can be awed by their saucy musical goodness.

As for their track “More Heart, Less Attack” this is what they say about it.

“In recent months, we have seen many reports of hatred and violence in our streets, in our schools and across the globe. We hope this song echoes those who are praying for peaceful resolutions that will calm the storms around the world.”

Recorded and filmed live in Nashville by Ryan Booth and filmed at KBK Farm courtesy of Cause A Scene.

As for their sentiment of peace I can only wholeheartedly agree. People killing people for killing people. Really! Come on guys. Haven’t you ever heard the saying “two wrongs don’t make a right?”

You should never go about judging someone without a complete story. You should never go out into the world and think you know what it’s like to be someone else.

We’re all the same. We’re all different. We’re all capable of making or breaking someone. I think about my life, I think about my kids, what kind of world do I want them to grow up in? There is so much change I hope happens before my kids are adults. I’m blessed because all three of them already have such free spirits and amazing hearts. We could all learn a lot from kids. A lot.

More Heart. Less Attack.

Thank you NEEDTOBREATHE :)

Idealism sits in prison, chivalry fell on its sword

a37f4e6e4033f86b16cbe8027757cd14Everyone and their brother has probably heard of Hozier by now, right? Because of their track “Take Me To Church” which is absolutely incredible. But I need you to know. Like I really NEED you to know that the entire album is absolutely amazing.

Here are some of the lyrics of “From Eden” .. Honey, you’re familiar like my mirror years ago
Idealism sits in prison, chivalry fell on it’s sword
Innocence died screaming, honey, ask me I should know
I slithered here from Eden just to sit outside your door

The tracks “From Eden” and “Sedated” are currently my favorites, but I can listen to the album straight through and completely fall into this amazing dreamy groove. If I smoked, I’d definitely sit on the hood of my car, lean back, cigarette in my mouth, music playing through the radio and stare up into the sky while humming along.

As it stands right now I’m sitting in an office at my desk trying to get work done, while tapping my boot to the beat and nodding my head every now and then.

Snoopy just couldn’t be quiet, but we forgive him

PEANUTSDid you hear? Snoopy leaked THE PEANUTS MOVIE trailer…good grief.
We are huge Peanuts fans in my house. In fact just last weekend Braeden was searching for our copy of the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and I think we watched it 5 times in one afternoon.
This movie stands to be absolutely adorable and fun. Everyone is familiar with the comics, I hope, and hopefully familiar with some of the short animations which exist. Do you remember the Bon Voyage Charlie Brown one? I remember it fondly. My Aunt Linda let me watch it at her house when I spent the night and it’s something I think I’ll always remember. Spending the night with my Aunt Linda and then watching that movie was definitely a highlight of my summers.
In the new PEANUTS, a 3D, CGI animated comedic adventure, Snoopy, the world’s most lovable beagle – and flying ace! – embarks upon his greatest mission as he and his team take to the skies to pursue their arch-nemesis, while his best pal Charlie Brown begins his own epic quest back home.

THE PEANUTS MOVIE hits theaters everywhere on November 6, 2015!

No I will not be a Frozen character for Halloween

jonsnowDon’t ask me why a banking center is letting people know where to buy the top 10 popular Halloween costumes for this year, but they spent time on this and so I should share it, right? The predictions are stating that people will be spending more on costumes this year. My family spends a decent amount each year anyway because we love Halloween. My kids start talking about their costumes for the following year on November 1st while sorting through their candy from the night before.

GOBankingRates investigated which popular online retailers are offering the best deals on this year’s hottest costumes, from Frozen’s Elsa to Game of Thrones’ Jon Snow.

e4c1fd3ddc77841dd3135b8667326d46Halloween 2014 will be even more widely celebrated in the U.S. than usual, with the National Retail Federation predicting costume sales this year will hit $2.8 billion, a 55 percent increase in spending since 2006. My guess is this is due to Halloween being on a Friday night this year. That means more families out and about because there is no school the next day. Plus the young adults of our generation will be having more parties because it’s a weekend event this year.

So what will you or your kids be wearing? My oldest wants to be Steve from Minecraft which is pretty easy for me. Then Finn wants to be a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. I’m hoping to get our little girl into a mermaid costume but not necessarily Ariel. I might venture to Etsy for something. We shall see.
