I LIKE TRAINS announce their first show of 2010
I Like Trains, fresh from mixing their brand new album (the follow up to 2008’s Elegies To Lessons Learnt) will be airing new songs at a wonderful Haiti Fundraising event at The Brudenell Social Club, Leeds on April 17th. The event also features Middleman and Micky P Kerr amongst a 12 band full entertainment package.
ILT have also announced that brand new track ‘When We Were Kings’ will be part of the new forthcoming Dance_To_The_Radio compilation which helps celebrate 5 years of DTTR.
From Haiti Ability to Need….. From Leeds to Haiti
Leeds’ famously diverse and vibrant music scene is uniting for a fundraiser unlike any other; a one-off celebration of the city’s biggest cultural export, for a bargain price, and all for charity. There are few events that would see all these bands sharing a stage in one night, but with all wanting to do their bit to raise money for the people of Haiti, musical differences are meaningless.
The line-up:
I Like Trains
Middleman
Micky P Kerr
Secret Circuits
Alt Track
Machine Guns and Leather Jackets
Stella Frays
We Say No
X Ray Cat
Last Temple Orchestra
Gary C
Doors open at 1pm.
“I LIKE TRAINS a brilliant band, tragically under-exposed; a little bit British Sea Power, a little bit Mogwai.” The Guardian
