The Super Bowl of Rodeos

A friend of mine and her daughter will be taking a trip to Nevada, Las Vegas this December. The lights and action of their destination are a little bit daunting, because they are far more comfortable in a rural setting of county fairs and such. So she was asking around for ideas on what they can do.

I have never been to Vegas and it does sound daunting even though I don’t really consider myself a country girl. But I did some googling and binging and all that fun buzz word stuff so that I could send her some ideas.

Turns out that there is a rodeo in Vegas around that time. And so I sent her a link to get tickets at their site, National Finals Rodeo Vegas. It’s the premier championship rodeo event in the United States. Wrangler Jeans is the title sponsor for the 10-day event sometimes referred to as the Super Bowl of Rodeo. It’s the first full week of December, at the Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in Paradise, Nevada. I mean come on, it sounds awesome! Tickets are outlandishly expensive if you want to be dead center, but I think balcony seats are reasonable.

Grab your cowboy hats ladies, it’s gonna be a fun ride!
