Les Paul Guitarist, Inventor, Innovator 1915 – 2009

It has been awhile, so I’m not sure, but I think I just had an orgasm. Haha. Those sitting around my desk probably looked at me oddly, but when I saw the most fantastic Google Tribute to Les Paul for his 96th birthday in the form of a functioning guitar logo which actually records, I literally began making audible noises and squirming in my chair.

While gliding the mouse across the strings will produce strumming, clicking on the keyboard image will turn on keys, with a keyboard row corresponding to the notes. This is definitely the coolest Google Doodle I have yet to see. Way to go, Google!

Here is a link to one of my many recordings so far this morning.

Les Paul, born Lester William Polsfuss on 9 June 1915, became a jazz and country guitarist. But his work as an innovator and inventor saw him create one of the first solid-body electric guitars in 1940.

I would also like to wish Johnny Depp a very happy birthday and offer myself as a birthday present if he so wishes to come and unwrap me. Hehehe.

I’m feeling a wee bit frisky today. If you couldn’t already tell.
