My Morning Jacket Receive Grammy Nomination for Best Alternative Album

MY MORNING JACKET cap a hugely successful 2011 with a Grammy Nomination for Best Alternative Music Album for their celebrated sixth album, “Circuital”. Jim James and co are up against the likes of Radiohead, Bon Iver, Death Cab For Cutie, Foster the People for this much-coveted award.

After headlining several festival, including Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo, My Morning Jacket will close the year playing their biggest-ever headline show to date, at Madison Square Garden in New York on 14th December.

Sidenote: New Orleans jazz legends Preservation Hall Jazz Band are pleased to announce the special guests that will join them on stage for their 50th anniversary performance. On January 7th, 2012 at 8:00pm they will grace the Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall, with special guests My Morning Jacket, Del McCoury Band, Trombone Shorty, GIVERS, Allen Toussaint, Blind Boys of Alabama, Tao Seeger, & Mos Def.
