May Angels Lead You In, Marian

In memory of a better than great woman, Marian Patterson.

A friend, a wife, a daughter and confidant, but above all, an amazing Mom.

She has passed away, far too young.

“There is sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition and of unspeakable love.” — Washington Irving

I’m a musical bird, a creative bird, I cry and grieve and mourn, but find solace in photos and music. So I created this page for Marian, her family and her friends. Prayers and healing thoughts to all of you.

“Parting is all we know of heaven and all we need of hell.” — Emily Dickinson (1830-1886)

“Memory is a way of holding on to the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose” — from The Wonder Years

Do not protect yourself from grief by a fence, but rather by your friends.

“Quiet and sincere sympathy is often the most welcome and efficient consolation to the afflicted. Said a wise man to one in deep sorrow, ‘I did not come to comfort you; God only can do that; but I did come to say how deeply and tenderly I feel for you in your affliction.” — Tyron Edwards

“I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge- That myth is more potent than history. I believe that dreams are more powerful than facts- That hope always triumphs over experience- That laughter is the only cure for grief. And I believe that love is stronger than death.” — Robert Fulghum

“When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.” — Kahlil Gibran

“Life is eternal, and love is immortal, and death is only a horizon; and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight.” — Rossiter Worthington Raymond
