‘Runaways’ new single from The Killers

We all know the band The Killers (originated in 2001) so I don’t need to do a run down on who they are, but it has been awhile since we have heard anything new from them so it is exciting that they have revealed there ‘Runaways’ single cover on Facebook.

The band’s last album, Day & Age, released in November of 2008 and wasn’t a big success. It didn’t make matters any better when the lead singer Brandon Flowers, lost his Mom to brain cancer which ended their tour prematurely. So fans are anxious to hear what they’ve cooked up this time around and to see if Brandon’s grief played a part in the songwriting.

Battle Born will come out this fall. Songs include “Heart Of A Girl”, “Flesh And Bone”, “Carry Me Home” and “Runaways”, with production work by Steven Lillywhite (U2), Brendan O’Brien (Flowers’ solo LP Flamingo) and Stuart Price, who produced the group’s previous album, 2008′s Day & Age. Watch the official album trailer here.

The first single from the album is called “Runaways”, and will receive its first radio play on July 10, 2012.
