Snackeez your infomercials do wonders with little kids
So the Snackeez infomercials on TV are so compelling that my five-year-old asked for one as a birthday gift last month.
“Mommy, I know what I want for when I turn this many (holds up his entire right hand to show me he is turning 5).”
“What’s that Finn? ”
“I need one of those Snackeez.”
“What in the world is a Snackeez?”
And my friends that is how the story began. So I found out what he was talking about and notice he didn’t say he wanted it, he said he needed it which just cracks me up. But they aren’t expensive and if the kid wants to be able to keep my car clean by eating with a gadget that is all combined then sure, I can look into it.
Thankfully the company sent me not one but TWO Snackeez snacking solutions in exchange for an honest review of their product. We received a pink and blue one and also a blue and green one which you can see pictured with my Finn.
Here are the claims:
- Snackeez are $9.99 plus $5.99 shipping and you get TWO
- Hold a 16 oz. drink and your favorite snack, all in one hand
- Sealed to keep snacks fresh and prevent spills
- Dishwasher safe
And I can tell you from our use so far all of those bullets hold true.
So what do I think of this Snackeez now that we have two in the house?
Well. For the most part I love them. They are durable and actually quite clever. The drink is on the bottom with a long straw (which you can remove to clean and I love that the straw can come out because otherwise it would be impossible to clean). The snack component sits atop the drink and has a lid that snaps shut tight but is easy enough for the kids to open it.
All-in-all I think the Snackeez are brilliant. My only complaint is that they are HUGE. So they don’t fit in our regular cabinets that hold our plates an glasses. If they were just an inch shorter I think they would still work and then I would be able to put them away. Right now they sit on a rolling cart in our kitchen.
