It’s E3 Month Gamers

Scarlet Nexus Kasane Combat

June is a busy month in terms of entertainment. We’re hearing about series and season finales. We’re seeing new movie trailers and learning about what’s planned for the next year. But those of us who are a wee bit nerdier are also looking at the games. E3 includes an exhibition floor for developers, publishers, and manufacturers to showcase titles and products for sale in the upcoming year. This year E3 will hold its online game awards event on June 15. The media panel will focus on selecting the “Most Anticipated” game of E3 2021, as well as recognizing “Most Anticipated” titles from each participating publisher and developer.

While we wait to hear more mid-month, I thought I’d bring up three games I’m excited about this month.

So, I don’t know if you’ve seen the show or read the books, but The Last Kids on Earth and the Staff of Doom but I have and so I’m stoked to see what the game will be like.  Though the developers say the game is based on the Netflix series, my kids are excited about this one, too, because of our love for the books. As we all know, books are almost always better. The game takes players on an all-new story set in the familiar universe. As familiar characters, you’ll set out on an adventure-filled journey to recover the legendary ‘Staff of Doom’. The game releases on Friday, June 4th!

Fast forward to June 10th and us older gamers are sure to be excited about the release of the Ninja Gaiden Master Collection! What!? This collection brings together three classic titles: Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge. Each of the three games includes all DLC and costumes for the fullest Ninja Gaiden experience yet.

Later in the month on June 25, we’ll see the release of Scarlet Nexus. This upcoming action role-playing game developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The characters actually have their own campaigns, giving the player the chance to experience the same story from two different points of view. However, the differences aren’t enough to really make you feel like you truly have control of the mission. It will be available on Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and Series S.
